Saturated Steam (Quick Look)
Interpolated mini-table (engineering estimates). For design sign-off, verify with IF97.
Assumes bar(g) → bar(a) by adding the absolute offset (default 1.013). Adjust for site altitude if needed.
Heat Duty ⇄ Condensate
Q = m·hfg (saturated steam). Add sensible loads separately for subcooled condensate.
For superheated supply, cool to Tsat first: Q_total = m·(cp·ΔT_superheat + hfg).
Flash Steam from Condensate
Flash % = (h1 − hf2) / hfg2 with h1 ≈ hf1 for saturated condensate at P1.
Assumes negligible heat loss. If condensate is subcooled, use actual temperature for h1.
Steam Pipe Sizing (Velocity)
Ideal-gas density ρ ≈ P/(R·T), Rsteam=461.5 J/kg·K. Choose velocity by site standard.
Extend with Darcy–Weisbach and fittings K for pressure drop checks.
