Class 150 RF (Raised Face) flanges

Class 150 RF (Raised Face) flanges are commonly used in low-pressure applications, and the bolts used for these flanges are generally standard-grade steel bolts. Here are some general details for Class 150 RF flange bolts:

  • Bolt Material: Standard-grade carbon steel bolts, such as ASTM A307 Grade B or A36
  • Bolt Size: Typically ranging from 1/4 inch to 4 inches in diameter
  • Bolt Length: Varies depending on the flange size and design requirements, typically ranging from 1 inch to 6 inches or more
  • Bolt Coating: Typically, bolts are coated with a corrosion-resistant material such as zinc, cadmium, or other platings
  • Bolt Thread: The thread size and pitch will depend on the bolt size and design requirements, with common sizes including UNC, UNF, and metric thread types
  • Bolt Tightening: The bolts will need to be tightened to a specific torque based on the design requirements and application specifications, and a suitable torque wrench or other tightening tool will be necessary.

It is important to consult with a qualified engineer or manufacturer to determine the specific bolt details required for your Class 150 RF flange application, as the exact specifications can vary based on the application’s unique requirements.

Class 300 RF (Raised Face) flanges

Class 300 RF (Raised Face) flanges are typically used in high-pressure applications where a strong, secure connection is necessary. The bolts used for these flanges are generally high-strength alloy steel bolts, and the details for these bolts can vary depending on the specific application and design requirements.

Here are some general details for Class 300 RF flange bolts:

  • Bolt Material: High-strength alloy steel, such as ASTM A193 Grade B7 or Grade B16
  • Bolt Size: Varies depending on the flange size and design requirements
  • Bolt Length: Varies depending on the flange size and design requirements, typically ranging from 1 inch to 10 inches or more
  • Bolt Coating: Typically, bolts are coated with a corrosion-resistant material such as zinc, cadmium, or other platings

It is important to consult with a qualified engineer or manufacturer to determine the specific bolt details required for your Class 300 RF flange application, as the exact specifications can vary based on the application’s unique requirements.
